ShigeQueen’s Holland’s Got Talent Journey and Love Story in the Netherlands
ShigeQueen (also known as Shigeko on stage and @ShigeQueen on Instagram) is a Japanese Pole Exotic Champion, international performer, and the founder of PoleExclusief.nl, a premium pole dance studio in Rotterdam Zalmhaven.
In 2025, ShigeQueen joined Holland’s Got Talent, reaching the qualification round. Although the performance was not broadcast, it was a powerful reminder of their love for the stage, television, and entertainment. “It took so much energy, cost, and preparation, but it also reminded me I belong in front of the camera,” says ShigeQueen.
Part of what made ShigeQueen’s story so unique for the Dutch market was the love story behind the move from Japan to the Netherlands. While living in Tokyo, ShigeQueen matched with Elroy, a Dutch marketing expert, on Tinder Gold. After just a week of video calls, Elroy booked a flight to Tokyo to meet in person. Their connection grew with three more visits, and finally, during a Christmas and New Year trip to Rotterdam (2023–2024), the couple decided to build their life together in the Netherlands.
This modern LGBTQ+ love story of courage and connection inspired many. Today, ShigeQueen continues to grow PoleExclusief.nl while also studying Dutch language and culture, and even beginning to explore new dreams such as singing and music performance.
Through pole dance, entrepreneurship, and art, ShigeQueen’s mission is to inspire others with self-confidence, authenticity, and the belief that love and dreams are always possible.
